School Landscape Projects of Custom Stonescaping

Having worked as an industrial arts teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, Jeff enjoys working with local schools to address landscaping needs or to go back to his roots and help teach students. Whether it’s building an outdoor classroom or addressing a drainage issue, Jeff can help with landscaping projects or create teachable ponds with a class or club to help educate students.

Congressional School of Virginia

Congressional School of Virginia | Falls Church, Virginia

Installed a children’s play area, outdoor classroom, gazebo, dry river beds and drainage work.

Custom Stonescaping started this project by cutting down a few of the trees that were rotting or needed to be removed. Some of the stumps were left as seating or to play on. The red gravel was added for access so the kids could safely run up and down the hill.

Custom Stonescaping installed two slides into the hillside and installed lots of plants and decorative boulders to create a natural looking play area. Custom Stonescaping also installed dry creek beds for proper drainage.

Custom Stonescaping piped out the gutters from the building and directed them to the dry creek bed we built to slowly carry the water down the hill and allow it to percolate into the ground. Custom Stonescaping also added some decorative boulders and plants.
