When redesigning an area by your AC unit, be sure to include it in your design. A clean unit area shows considerate care and well-maintenance for the unit. For example, in this backyard transformation in Northeast Washington DC, the unit was practically hidden and inaccessible in the original layout (See before pic on the left, the unit is behind the beige covering).

In the newly designed backyard (See after pic on the right.), the designer (Nicolas Gil) beautifully wrapped it behind a stone wall bench and added plantings that will grow to add a barrier and remove the unit from view while still allowing easy access.

After some TLC by Jeff Reynolds, the bins got an upgraded look. They now sit atop a dry set, PA Natural Clef flagstone patio:

A newly updated stoop can refresh your exterior entryway. In this front stoop in McLean, Virginia, the old brick stoop (See Right Pic for before) was hauled away and replaced by PA Pattern Flagstone. The walkway was replaced with PA Random Flagstone, transforming the look of the home and making it more inviting.
